A number of years ago, a former member of our machinery preservation club approached us at a display and said he was looking to sell some of his collection. Over the next few years many of us bought various engines from him, both complete and parts.

There are a number of partial engines still there, plus a couple of larger ones which will take some work to restore and display. Sitting partially disassembled at the rear of the boneyard area is a Fielding and Platt hot tube engine, which I had my eye on for some time - though it's size meant that I was unable to handle it until recently.
